Preparation Steps
- Ensure your hair is clean, dry, and free of tangles. Avoid heavy conditioners that might make your hair slippery
1. Clip-in Hair Wefts (Easiest & Temporary)
- ✅ Tools Needed: Clip-in wefts, rattail comb, hair clips, mirror.
Steps:
1.Section Your Hair
- Part your hair horizontally (start near the nape for a natural look).
- Clip away the top layer to keep it separate.
2.Attach the Weft
- Open the clips and place the weft close to the roots.
- Snap the clips shut firmly (but not too tight to avoid discomfort).
3.Layer & Blend
- Release the top section of your hair to cover the weft.
- Use a curling iron or straightener to blend your natural hair with the extensions.
2.Sew-in Wefts (Long-Lasting, 2-3 Months)
- Step 1: Thread a needle with durable nylon thread.
- Step 2: Position the weft over the cornrow base.
- Step 3: Sew the weft onto the cornrow using a looped stitch (go through the weft’s track and the cornrow). Tie knots securely.
Step 4: Repeat for all wefts, working upward in horizontal rows.
3.Tape-in Hair Wefts (Semi-Permanent, Lasts 6-8 Weeks)
✅ Tools Needed: Tape-in wefts, adhesive remover, applicator, flat iron.
Steps:
1.Section & Prep Hair
- Part a thin horizontal section where the weft will sit.
- Lightly tease roots for better grip (optional).
2.Apply the Weft
- Peel off the tape backing and sandwich a thin layer of natural hair between two wefts.
- Press firmly for 10-15 seconds to secure.
3.Heat Seal (Optional)
- Use a flat iron on low heat to melt the adhesive slightly for extra hold.
4. Micro Ring / Micro Loop Wefts (No Glue/Sewing)
✅ Tools Needed: Micro rings, pliers, wefts.
1.Thread Hair Through the Ring
- Pull a small section of natural hair through the micro ring.
- Insert the weft loop into the ring and clamp it shut with pliers.
3.Adjust & Secure
- Slide the ring close to the scalp for a snug fit (not too tight!).
🔄 Maintenance: Can be reused by reopening rings.
